Wedding memories
It is interesting what people keep after their wedding. I know that most people would obviously have their wedding band as a reminder and that should really be enough. After ten years of marriage I still have my wedding dress, I am not sure why but it was specially made to fit me and so is no good to give away or anything. I know my mother made her dress into christening outfits for me and my sister which was a rather nice idea. She has always kept her wedding veil though as it means a lot to her and was very expensive. It is really special – still carefully packed away in the original tissue paper and box. She also has all of her wedding cards and a horseshoe wedding decoration that she was given by one of the children that were at the wedding. I think it is interesting that she has kept these things and I wonder what sort of things other people keep as wedding memories. It makes me wonder whether I will suddenly become sentimental and keep something or whether I will prefer to stay clutter free like I am already.
